Last week we decided to take a day off and leave the crowds of the city.  Originally we chose Poughkeepsie because you can just hop on a train and it’s also budget friendly….but then we realized we’d be stranded if we went that route so we just rented a car and zipped out of town.  There isn’t a lot to do there, but the drive is beautiful and it was a very relaxing day.  We walked across (and back!) the longest pedestrian bridge in the world: the walkway over the hudson; we ate at the Eveready diner that was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and dives; and we had beer from a local brewery. Thanks hubs for such a fun little outing on a beautiful fall day!!
