Fall is our absolute favorite! We have enjoyed going out for walks and just sitting in the park people watching.  I’m going to bore you with some fall pictures now…. El otoño es nuestra estación favorita!! Hemos disfrutado tanto salir a caminar y sentarnos en el parque a ver la gente pasar.  Ahora los voy a aburrir con fotos…

Last week we decided to take a day off and leave the crowds of the city.  Originally we chose Poughkeepsie because you can just hop on a train and it’s also budget friendly….but then we realized we’d be stranded if we went that route so we just rented a car and zipped out of town.  There isn’t a lot to do there, but the drive is beautiful and it was a very relaxing day.  We walked across (and back!) the longest pedestrian bridge in the world: the walkway over the hudson; we ate at the Eveready diner that was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and dives; and we had beer from a local brewery. Thanks hubs for such a fun little outing on a beautiful fall day!! La semana pasada decidimos tomarnos un dÃa libre y salir de la ciudad.  Originalmente decidimos ir a Poughkeepsie porque puedes tomarte el tren y es relativamente barato….pero nos dimos cuenta que nos quedarÃamos atrapados sin carro asi que rentamos uno y nos arrancamos.  No hay mucho que hacer en este pueblucho, pero el camino es precioso y fue un dÃa super relajante.  Caminamos el puente peatonal más largo del mundo (de ida Y de regreso!): the walkway over the hudson; comimos en el Eveready diner que salió en el programa de tele Diners, Drive-ins and dives; y fuimos a una cervecerÃa local.  Gracias a mi maridÃn por este paseo tan divertido en tan bonito dÃa!!

I have wanted to go apple picking since the last time I lived in NYC and finally 8 years later I got to go!! Our friends Trent & Dara picked us up one friday and off we went out of the city and into the country woods! We had such a fun time picking the apples and eating them right off the trees…best experience ever and also, THE best apples I’ve ever had in my life! We’re such great little apple pickers! I hope we can make this our new fall tradition and continue doing it for years to come! I didn’t bake anything because N doesn’t particularly love cooked apples so I’ve been enjoying them just as they are….perfect and fresh and delicious! He tenido ganas de ir a los manzanares desde la última vez que vivà en NYC y finalmente después de 8 años se me hizo ir!! Nuestros amiguitos Trent & Dara nos recogieron un viernes y hacia el “campo” nos dirigimos!! Nos divertimos tanto escogiendo y comiendo nuestras manzanas….fué la mejor experiencia y también las mejores manzanas que he comido en mi vida! Somos unos manzaneros super expertos!! ja!! Espero que esta pueda ser nuestra nueva tradición de otoño y que podamos continuarla por muchos muchos años! No terminé cocinando nada con las manzanas porque a N no le encantan las manzanas cocidas, asà que las hemos disfrutado asà como son….frescas, perfectas y deliciosas! Pretty pink rubber shoes will brighten up the gloomiest of rainy days! Which is why I bought me some! If you like them you can get them here….they come in a few different colors. Â Hurrah for no more ruined shoes!
Zapatitos de hule de color de rosa iluminan hasta el peor de los dÃas nublados y lluviosos!  Es por eso que me compré unos! Si les gustan los pueden comprar aquÃ….y vienen en varios colores.  Yeiiii, ya no arruinaré mas zapatos en la lluvia!
