It has been 5 years. FIVE YEARS!!!

Since Nick is away for work today, we celebrated early and went to dinner on monday night to One if by Land, Two if by sea. It was a very enjoyable evening and the scenery was pretty magical after the storm. We’re planning a slightly more fun celebration for sometime in march together with his birthday! I can’t wait!

Happy anniversary Goat!!Â I wouldn’t want to have our crazy fun adventures with anyone else! I miss you and Â love you so much and can’t wait for you to get back!

Como Nico estÃ¡ de viaje el dÃa de hoy, celebramos nuestro aniversario el lunes pasado y fuimos a cenar a One if by Land, Two if by Sea. Â Fue una noche maravillosa y como nevÃ³ todo se veÃa precioso. Â Estamos planeando una celebraciÃ³n un poquito mÃ¡s divertida en marzo junto con su cumpleaÃ±os! Ya quiero que sea marzo!

So I’m taking french classes yet again and so is the hubs! Oui, oui!! We’re so excited and loving our classes. Â After last week’s class we had a little date at our new favorite place BuvetteÂ that doubled as our Valentine’s day celebration. We don’t really go all out it since it’s so close to our anniversary, but we usually celebrate it one way or another and I do always get flowers. Â This time it was with a delicious little lunch! It was such a treat and wish we could make it a weekly thing after our class. Someday maybe!

Una vez mÃ¡s estoy tomando clases de francÃ©s y Nico tambiÃ©n. Â Oui, oui!! Estamos super emocionados y nos encantan nuestras clases. Â La semana pasada despuÃ©s de mi clase nos vimos en un lugarcito francÃ©s que se llama BuvetteÂ para celebrar el dÃa de san ValentÃn. Â En realidad nunca lo celebramos en grande porque sÃ³lo es una semana despuÃ©s de nuestro aniversario pero siempre hacemos algo y siempre me sorprenden con flores. Esta vez disfrutamos de una comida deliciosa que me encantarÃa que fuera cada semana despuÃ©s de nuestra clase.

Mini Valentine Making Party

After looking through the february issue of Living and finding the coolest little valentine making party,a couple of my friends and I decided to have our mini version of it at my place (since I have all the card making goods) and copy their dinner and dessert: Pizza sandwiches with arugula & basil salad and peanut butter and jam cookies!! Â (their pics are way better than mine…I had loads of crappy lighting! sorry!)

So last thursday night we prepared all the goods for the pizza sandwiches and cookies and enjoyed a lovely dinner with champagne! Â My friend Alisia’s engagement happened Wednesday night so the news called for a celebratory beverage…..which in my mind is ALWAYS ALWAYS champagne (or some kind of sparkling wine!).

Birthday fun, part 1

So to start the celebration we decided to go to disneyland on wednesday not just because it was my birthday, but also because it was the last day to use our annual passes and we won’t be renewing so we did an entire day at the happiest place on earth. It turned out to be the most awesome day for lots of reasons…. (btw…this is a long post, but don’t be scared…..it’s mostly pictures!)

1. Everyone says happy birthday to you. It feels pretty good.

2. It was supposed to rain all day long and then it turned out to be a lovely brisk fall day.

3. The promise of rain scared lots of people off so the wait lines weren’t more than 20 minutes. Sad part though…Toy story ride was closed, but its ok because…..

4. I got a picture with the princesses. My very first one ever!

5. The old time piano player man played happy birthday and Alice and her guest sang it andddd then the mad hatter sang a very merry unbirthday to me as well….cause he hates the birthday song!!

It was a pretty amazingly fun day and the fun doesn’t stop there. Next week it will continue with our stay at South Coast Winery and a hot air balloon ride. My hubs is pretty awesome! I can’t WAIT!!
