Have you ever just wanted to take a big nap and just sleep the day away like sleeping beauty??? Well I’ve had about a month of that feeling!  I’m sorry I got so lazy!! Anywayyyyy……It’s been a little crazy chez Bowsers…stressful at times and fun as well.  I’ll give you the quick version.  I flew to California for my bestie’s wedding/visited family, N flew to California for work/family time and I painted the apartment while he was gone (it was a gross dingy yellowy beige color that people like to call “linen white”…but let me tell you there’s nothing white about it. N referred to it as butter teeth!).  We’ve gone to Ikea more than I’d like to admit, we practically live at Home Depot and I’m starting to not want to go to another Container Store ever again. Except I love it, so I’ll return. Bed Bath and Beyond is also a close family friend now.   I went on “interviews” to 3 staffing agencies (no job yet though) and we had our first visitors.  Yep, we had 4 people in our miniature make believe, still semi-unfurnished/semi unpacked apartment. It was pretty nutty. Oh yeah and husband finally finished my kitchen cart and it’s beautiful, holds all my kitchen gadgets and I love it.  Alguna vez han querido tomarse una siesta y deseado quedarse dormidos todo el día como la bella durmiente??? Pues he tenido un mes entero de ese sentimiento! Perdón por ser tan floja!! Buuuennooo….Ha estado un poquito loca la vida chez Bowsers….a veces un poco estresante pero divertida tambien.  Les doy el resumen.  Viajé a California para la boda de mi mejor amiga/visitar familia, N viajó a California para filmar una boda/visitar familia y yo pinté nuestro depa mientras el no estuvo (el color original era uno amarillento horrible que se llama “lino blanco”….pero les aviso que de blanco no tenía nada.  N lo nombró dientes de mantequilla!).  Hemos ido a Ikea más de lo que me gustaría admitir, practicamente vivimos en el Home Depot y estoy empezando a no querer ir al Container Store nunca jamás. Pero lo amo, así que regresaré.  Y ahora Bed Bath & Beyond es parte de nuestra familia. Fuí a entrevistas a 3 diferentes agencias de empleo (sigo sin trabajo) y tuvimos a nuestros primeros huéspedes.  Sip, hubo 4 personas en nuestro mini apartamento de mentirita que sigue medio amueblado y medio desempacado. Fue un poquitin loco.  Ah si y mi esposito finalmente terminó mi carrito para la cocina y quedo precioso, le caben todos mis utensilios y me encanta!

{While visiting my family we went to Mision 19. Not worth it. Out of everything we ordered we only enjoyed one of the appetizers, the drinks and the churros. This is a review the NY Times got wrong. I (+ five others) don’t recommend it! Durante mi visita familiar fuimos a Mision 19.  Nada que ver.  De todo lo que pedimos solo nos gusto uno de los aperitivos, las bebidas y los churros.  Esta vez el NY Times no le atinó.  Ni yo ni las otras 5 personas que fueron lo recomendamos!}

And just in case you were wondering my highlight in all this nuttiness came last week. We received a very special package that makes being away from family much easier.  It was a care package with 2 jars of the most wonderful jam made with love by my husband’s sweet Paw Paw.  He loves making jam for his family.  We got blueberry and raspberry jam and since we just finished our last jar of Paw Paw’s strawberry jam we’ve been enjoying the raspberry one this week.  Y por si querían saber, lo mejor de todo este relajo nos llegó la semana pasada.  Recibimos un paquete muy especial que hace el estar lejos de tu familia un poquito más fácil.  Fué un paquete con 2 frascos de la mermelada más deliciosa hecha por el abuelo de mi marido: Paw Paw.  Le encanta hacer mermeladas para su familia.  Esta vez nos toco una de frambuesa y una de arándano azul y como nos acabamos de terminar la de fresa hemos estado disfrutando de la de frambuesa esta semana.
