{After the show. Después del programa.}

It’s so nice (and fun) to have little things to take your mind off the bigger frustrating things….like not having a job yet.  Well, yesterday I had 2 treats!!! First we woke up at 6am….yes I know that’s not a treat….but we had to be at CBS studios at 8:45 am “dressed to impress” ha! We went to see The Nate Berkus show!!! and we got sat on the front row!!! I’m gonna go ahead and say that though he’s very cute and a genius, the whole experience was kind of disappointing or as my neighbor at the show said “anticlimactic”.  We thought he would hang out with the audience more since he seems so personable on tv….instead he headed backstage after every segment and all we got was a thank you for choosing to be inside at the show instead of outside on a beautiful spring day. Oh well! At least Nick got a Team Nate T-shirt for dancing. But that’s a whole other story hehehe…. Es tan padre y divertido tener cosas/premios que te distraigan de las partes frustrantes de tu vida…como no tener chamba todavía.  Pues ayer, tuve 2 premios/distracciones!! Primero nos despertamos a las 6am….yo se que eso no es un premio….pero teníamos que estar en los estudios CBS “vestidos para impresionar” a las 8:45!!  Fuimos a ver el Show de Nate Berkus!!! y nos sentaron en la fila del frente!!! Aunque es un genio y es muy guapo, no fue la mejor experiencia… hasta mi vecinita dijo que fue anticlimáctico.  En la tele sale  super lindo y agradable  pero nunca salió a platicar con nosotros….lo único que nos dijo fue gracias por venir al programa. Que chafa no? bueno, por lo menos Nick se ganó una camiseta que dice “Equipo Nate” por bailar…..pero esa es otra historia jejeje…..

The second treat was a surprise pit stop at Serendipity on our way to a furniture store for one of their famous Frrrrozen Hot Chocolates!!!!  We walked by and I was completely surprised to not see a huge wait line so we went in and were seated right away. No wait! We each had our own frrrrozen treat and shared some fries. I kind of had a stomach ache from all the sweetness. It was lovely and I totally recommend it! Mi segundo premio fue una paradita rápida a Serendipity en camino a una tienda de muebles para disfrutar uno de sus famosos Chocolates Calientes Congelados!!! Cuando pasamos por el lugar me sorprendí de no ver una linea largísima de espera así que decidimos entrar y nos sentaron en ese instante. Sin esperar!!! Compartimos unas papas fritas y cada quien su propio chocolatito. Me dolió el estómago de tanto dulce. Se los recomiendo, fue una delicia!!!
